Firefighters Remind Drivers to Slow Down and Use Caution as Children Head Back to School

Cearwater Firefighters will be present at three Clearwater elementary schools to remind drivers to obey school speed zones when school begins on August 25, 2009. Firefighters will use fire apparatus, lights and banners to warn drivers to be alert and use caution when children are present. Firefighters will assist at the following schools from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.:

Leila G. Davis Elementary School
2630 Landmark Drive
Clearwater, Fla.

Skycrest Elementary School
10 N. Corona Avenue
Clearwater, Fla.

Eisenhower Elementary School
2800 Drew Street
Clearwater, Fla.

This is the fourth year Clearwater Fire & Rescue has conducted the "Slow Down Program."
